Tesco home insurance slashes rates

Tesco has slashed its home insurance premiums, with reductions of up to 30 per cent.

The home insurance provider is offering a 25 per cent discount to new customers who apply online for a new home insurance policy.

Existing Tesco car insurance policy holders will receive an added bonus when they take out home insurance online. They will receive a total 30 per cent off when taking out insurance for their home and contents.

Holders of Tesco Clubcards will also earn an additional 1,000 points on their cards if they take out a home insurance policy before November 30th.

Customers can also take out their home insurance policies over the telephone. Existing Tesco insurance policyholders will qualify for a discount of 25 per cent when buying over the phone. New customers buying over the telephone will receive a 20 per cent reduction.

Insurance products from Tesco include car insurance, home insurance, car breakdown assistance, pet insurance, life insurance and travel insurance.

Tesco car insurance offers comprehensive cover if your car is stolen or damaged by fire or accidental damage of your car.
