AA Insurance has announced that it will now add business insurance to its range of policies.
The insurance company, which already offers private car and home insurance, now gives small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to insure business assets with AA Insurance.
AXA Insurance underwrites the new business insurance packages available from the insurance company.
Packages include insurance for business contents and stock, as well as business interruption insurance and insurance for legal expenses resulting from public, product and employers' liability.
Business owners can also add buildings insurance and cover against theft by employees to their insurance policies.
"The AA is a strong brand trusted by nearly 13 million roadside customers and is also the largest provider of breakdown cover for commercial enterprises," comments John Close, general manager of AA Insurance.
"Our research shows that AA Insurance would be a natural choice for successful small or medium-sized businesses looking for commercial insurance."
The business insurance by AA Insurance is available to home-based sole traders to companies with turnovers of many millions, the insurance company said.
"Provided premiums are competitive, SME owners often prefer to place their personal and commercial insurances with one provider. We can now offer that service," Mr Close concluded.
The insurance company, which has "long-standing connections" with the tourism and leisure industry, is focusing its latest insurance offering on owners of small hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and pubs.
