Bradford & Bingley (B&B) has created a new travel insurance policy designed for single-parent families.
The deal has been created to redress the balance that single parents can often pay too much for their travel insurance, the company claims.
Costs associated with going on holiday can often be a strain for Britons, particularly for the 2.5 million single-parent families.
Bradford & Bingley's head of general insurance, Dave Foyle, comments: "We recognise that single parents can sometimes pay over the odds."
"With this in mind and in conjunction with FirstAssist, we are launching a competitive single parent travel insurance to help make cover more affordable for single parent families."
Mr Foyle continues that a 14-day single trip to Europe could cost £44.43 for a family with two children, whereas the new single-parent rate is £32.84.
The travel insurance policy also offers 24-hour emergency assistance and personal luggage cover of up to £2,000.
Bradford & Bingley offers UK holidaymakers a range of travel insurance options, including single-trip and annual or multi-trip cover.
