A recent study by AA Insurance indicates that the location of your car-parking could have a big influence on how much your insurance premiums are,
The research, by AA Personal Loans, indicates that those keeping their cars locked in a garage overnight could save between 7-35% on their car insurance . Residential streets are apparently the most common place for car vandalism and thefts.
Car parks, however, are also regarded as dangerous places to leave cars. The second cheapest places behind locked garages are hospital car parks, airport car parks, doctor’s surgeries or outside a restaurant, the survey said.
Mark Huggins, of AA Personal Loans, commented that cars are a major financial investment, and the last thing car-buyers need is an added repair cost on top of car insurance, road tax and car finance .
