Confused. com, the UK price comparison site, has launched a new overseas home insurance service. Customers will be able to insure their holiday homes through Hiscox Insurance and not have to face the stress of foreign insurance brokers and unfamiliar legal systems.
People can now obtain a competitive insurance quote through a UK insurer for their overseas property by shopping online and, as the entire service is written in English, it is easy to understand and customers don’t have to worry about facing hidden costs or translating policy documents from foreign languages .
Carlton Hood, the chief executive officer of Confused.com, claimed the addition of the overseas home insurance facility would strengthen the company’s position as the only provider of this kind of service. He added, "Our new service will allow our home insurance customers to insure their holiday homes abroad, without the worry of alien property laws or language barriers, which can make maintaining a property in the sun extremely stressful."
