Women need to cover personal items with comprehensive car insurance .
A new report has warned that it is essential for women in the UK to have comprehensive car insurance that will cover items inside their vehicles .
Research from Sheilas Wheels showed that British women can leave £129 worth of personal items in their cars .
Due to the growing trend of after work culture, the report specified that 27 per cent of women were leaving expensive shoes and clothes in their motors. A further 67 per cent of women motorists said they can leave upto four pairs of shoes in their car at any one time. The findings suggest that fully comprehensive car insurance could be necessary.
Jacky Brown at Sheilas' Wheels commented: "Any personal belongings, whatever their value, that are left unattended in a car can be easy pickings for opportunistic thieves."
"To avoid a smashed window or a broken lock, we want to encourage all women to avoid using their car as a wardrobe on wheels and leaving anything strewn over the back seat, on display," she said.
