Car insurance customers should fear the prangster

Fri, 16 May 2008

A new survey by the organisers of the British International Motor Show has found that as many as 20 per cent of car insurance customers would not own up to accidentally damaging another vehicle .

The study team branded the surreptitious damage-causers prangsters. The survey found that the most regular pranging occurs in supermarkets and multi-storey car parks . These prangsters decided not to own up due to the perceived hassle of being found guilty of the damage.

Previous studies indicate that thousands of drivers in the UK are uninsured, posing a risk on the roads and adding to the premium cost of those that are insured . In other car insurance news, Kwik-Fit car insurance have become the first UK company to offer online certificates.
