Home insurance discount from Tesco

Tesco home insurance is offering a discount as well as cashback.

When customers buy a policy online, they will receive the 35 per cent discount in their first year. There is also £50 cashback available. By getting a quote online for Standard or Finest home insurance, the customer will then be prompted to enter their Tesco Clubcard number. New customers will then receive a cheque from Tesco within six weeks of their buying the policy.

According to Jim Bruce, head of Tesco home insurance, Tesco is aware of the current strain on people’s finances and said that the offer would help to cut homeowners' costs.

Tesco recently launched a Child Health Plan to provide healthcare cover for children . Customers were offered a 25 per cent discount in their first year which meant that premiums could start at £7.49 a month for the first child to receive the cover. Tesco said that the product would mean faster access to professionals for private consultations .
