Saga offers health cover to car insurance customers

Saga, which is a provider that specialises in providing insurance for people over the age of 50, has revealed that it is will be providing accident healthcare cover to its car insurance customers.

This offer will cost new and existing Saga insurance customers the equivalent of £3.95 per month on top of their car insurance premiums and will give them up to £1 million worth of cover for follow-up healthcare related to traffic accident injuries .

The accident healthcare policy will cover the cost of staying in a private hospital for up to 180 days and will also include the fees for consultants and specialists.

Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga Group, said: "Even a minor road accident can require medical treatment that can be a drawn out process. At times like these, older people in particular value quick access to the high quality care that private healthcare provides."
