Direct Line offers 50 per cent off contents insurance

The current offer from Direct Line, of 50 per cent off contents insurance, will be welcomed by those homeowners looking to save money during the current recession .

New customers will be given the chance to get 50 per cent off contents insurance through the promotion, as well as further money-saving promotions if they purchase multiple policies online. In addition, as the offer applies to contents insurance as a single policy or with buildings cover, it can also be applied to those who rent flats .

Head of Direct Line Home Insurance, Andrew Lowe, said: "There are always unexpected costs during the summer . We want to help people cut costs where we can, so we're cutting the price of new contents insurance policies in half."
