RIAS enhances its travel insurance cover for over 50s

RIAS, the travel insurer which provides cover for the over 50s, has improved its product by launching One Click, One Call, which is an all encompassing online or telephone application process that will enable customers to buy single trip, or annual travel insurance cover within minutes.

With One Click, One Call, customers up to the age of 90 years will be able to get a quote and to notify RIAS of any pre-existing medical conditions either online or during one telephone call. There will be no need for customers to visit other websites, make additional telephone calls to declare pre-existing conditions, or obtain a GP medical report.

Janet Conner, Managing Director of RIAS, said: "Some people can find obtaining travel insurance difficult, especially if they have pre-existing medical conditions which need to be covered. Having to make separate telephone calls about medical conditions, or having to complete an online medical form before an insurer will decide whether to offer cover or not, can be extremely off-putting."
