John Lewis home insurance policy receives accolade of recommended provider

Thu, 31 Mar 2011

The consumer watchdog Which? has given its seal of approval to the home insurance policy offered by the retailer John Lewis.

Which? only gives its approval to a limited number of companies and four criteria have to be met for Which? to recommend any home insurance provider . An organisation must demonstrate excellent customer service and a very high standard of insurance product. The company must also be registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and further, the provider must provide a fast and simple process by which customers can receive a quote.

Which? members evaluated the services offered by John Lewis Home Insurance and found the overall satisfaction rating of its building insurance policy to be 70 per cent, while its contents insurance scored even better with a 76 per cent rating. The overall customer satisfaction count came in at 79 per cent.

John Lewis is now one of only 6 home insurance companies that have been granted the status of Which? recommended provider.
